How are you going to Celebrate New Year's Eve?

We can't wait to toast the New Year. How will you be celebrating? With New Year's Eve being only one day away, you may be getting ready to pop bottles of sparkling bubbles/champagne. We have a couple of bottles already being chilled: BOLLINGER Special Cuvee & Extra Cuvee De Reserve POL ROGER 2000 Vintage Brut....
New Year's Traditions: The most commonly sung song Auld Lang Syne. Literally translates as "old long since" and means "times gone by." Did you know that this song is asking whether old friends and times will be forgotten and promises to remember people of the past with fondness?

To Do: Live A Little & Let IT Go!

I don't like anything that's too confining. I'm sort of a control freak, so anything that makes me feel like I'm out of control is a bit uncomfortable. I know SHOCKER....Cue: Everyone agreeing with the last two sentences! But you know how it is, sometimes it is good to "Live A Little" The funny thing about this  in order to do this it is important to: "Let IT Go"...What is It? All the things that hold you back. Eckhart Tolle believes we create and maintain problems because they give us a sense of identity. How twisted is this? Very...and if we are all honest about this we have all done this at some point in our lives. Do you suppose this is why we hold onto our pain far beyond its ability to help us. "If you let go a little, you will have a little peace. If you let go a lot, you will have a lot of peace"  I am learning there will never be a time when life is simple. I am learning to embrace my flaws and see them as learning tools to a better me. Every moment is a chance to let go and feel peaceful. Blessings XO

Up All Night....

Don't Sweat the Small Stuff...and it's all small stuff!

I woke up this morning with a bit on my mind. I brushed it off and jumped into the shower to wash the night away. Maybe it was my dreams the night before or just that I have been trying to kick this cold. What ever it was the shower helped out. I preceded by "Getting Ready" and headed out the door for a unscheduled appointment. As I waited for the doors to open this am another woman was standing next to me. I could feel her energy. It was so heavy as if she was ready to attack the first person she came in contact with. Have you ever had that encounter before? The office opened up and the door swung open. The girl that opened the door was smiling and greeted us both with a friendly "GOOD MORNING!" I smiled back and wished her the same. The other woman didn't have it in her to reciprocate the same. I let her go first thinking that maybe that would start out her morning on the right track. When we both were inside the building she let the girl at the front desk have it! All I could think was: I feel so bad for her & what is she personally going through that  no one has a clue about? With an entire empty space in the office she sat right next to me. She started unloading everything...Why she was there~What she was dealing with~and it struck me! Do you believe in signs from GOD? Well I do..I think God gives us many signs and insinuations, and many of them aren't recognizable right away.

I do believe that Anything is Possible. As she shared what was going on with her it gave my shivers all over my body. It was the same reason why I was there as well. It was a conversation that my husband and I had the night before. I told her just that. She smiled and said to me that make sure to ask these specific questions when you go in today. I thanked her and wished her well. When I came home I shared with my husband what had happened. He looked at me and said that you realize that you have this happen more often in your life than not. I do agree with him. I believe that if you are open to many signs and your surroundings that these little gifts will be easier to see.  While in the office I received a text that something was going to be dropped off at our home. When I came home I found this book: Don't Sweat the Small Stuff...and it's all small stuff. I have this thing with books in a random manner I close my eyes and just let the pages flow between my finger tips until something tells me to stop and open at that perfect spot. As I looked down to see my gift it was indeed just that. Don't Sweat the Small Stuff Page: 139 Chapter 56. Be Grateful when You're Feeling Good and Graceful when You're Feeling Bad.

Holiday Rentals

Just finished watching this lovely little gem! I did enjoy this movie a lot. This came to me by mail: Netflix to the rescue. My Son went to see this with a group of his friends. He was so touched by the story and made it clear to me that this was a must see. He was 100% correct! A quote from the movie: Coach to Timothy regarding his horrible soccer skills:  “Why you smiling?”
Timothy:  “I can only get better.”

"My little dog -- a heartbeat at my feet."

This is my Pomeranian Tucker. He has brought so much Joy to our Family. He has changed me in so many ways. All for the better I must say~ Compassion for animals is intimately connected with goodness of character; and it may be confidently asserted that he who is cruel to animals cannot be a good man/woman

Friday

Happy Friday Everyone! Look at these cute little birdies all lined up ready for the sunrise today in Belmont Shore @ 6:56 this am. This has been a long week for me. I have been longing to kick this cold that has just been looming on with me. Yesterday I did get a chance to get out of the house long enough to pick up some Home Decor. I went to Trader Joe's to pick up a couple of beautiful white orchids: "The orchid is a flower of magnificence that brings a universal message of love, beauty, wisdom, thoughtfulness, luxury & strength"

Who need's sleep? Japanese Legend says:

A Japanese legend says that if you can't sleep at night it's because you're awake in someone else's dream. If this is the case someone has been dreaming about me for months now. I would like for that special someone to start dreaming about someone else. I am needing some serious ZZZzzzzzzz at this point.
